ACTIS - Activating Talent in Sustainability
ACTIS was established in January 2009 as an official spin off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, Switzerland to continue and expand the successful Youth Encounter on Sustainability (YES) course concept.
ACTIS offers various YES course programs around the world, as well as special programs developed for YES alumni on particular thematic focus areas. In addition, ACTIS offers programs in education for sustainable development tailored for specific target groups, such as high school students, school teachers and university teachers.

Hosei University Tokyo
Founded as Japan’s first private law school in 1880, Hosei has emerged into one of the countries highest ranked private universities. As a multifunctional institution in higher education, Hosei offers undergraduate and graduate courses in social sciences and literature as well as in engineering to 45’000 students. Implementing the “Green University” program, Hosei has demonstrated leadership in sustainability education and management: Since 1999 Hosei - as the first university in Japan - operates an ISO14001 certified Environmental Management System and created the faculty of Humanity and Environment. As part of environmental education activities, the university holds international symposia, seminars, and lectures as well as eco-tours to companies and municipalities. In 2004 it received the Grand Prize of the Global Environmental Award.
